You'd think one of the worlds biggest news organisations would be on the ball with all that's going on in the world of entertainment.

Today I seen yet another 'old story' on the BBC site that is reporting Bono's NYT column - info that is at least ten weeks old.

Hell even DarkHat had the news of Bono writing for the New York Times back in October.

Here's a couple of photos of U2 frontman Bono partying it up with a couple of bikini clad chicks on the beach in the South of France last month.

Bono took a holiday with his friend Simon Carmody, where they met up with two 19-year-olds, American fashion student Andrea Feick and her British friend Hannah Emerson, in St Tropez.

The pair later posted pictures of the holiday on Facebook, open to the public in the site�s New York and French networks.

Feick excitedly announced the trip in one public message to her friend, saying: �So Bono and Simon called me yesterday and they arrived in Cannes today, so looks like we�ll have a plan! :)�

After cocktails at the Nikki Beach bar, they took a stroll along the beach, where Bono put his arm around Feick�s waist and then wrapped himself around Emerson�s neck.

They later headed to a luxury yacht where Bono, Carmody and the girls partied into the night. Later in the trip, the group continued to party in St Tropez, posing outside the Oxybar.

I'd love to hear him explain this to his wife...

The New York Times is extending an offer to the U2 frontman Bono to become a columnist for their Op-Ed page.

It's unclear whether the singer-philanthropist will be paid for his six to 10 pieces for the paper on topics including Africa and global poverty, though his One Campaign spokeswoman, Kathy McKiernan, said any payment would go straight to Bono's charity.
