The New York Times is extending an offer to the U2 frontman Bono to become a columnist for their Op-Ed page.
It's unclear whether the singer-philanthropist will be paid for his six to 10 pieces for the paper on topics including Africa and global poverty, though his One Campaign spokeswoman, Kathy McKiernan, said any payment would go straight to Bono's charity.
